The Future of SRHR Financing and EU Global Leadership

📅 Date:
13/05/2026
🕐 Time:
12:30–14:30 CET
📍 Location:
Room Spinelli 1E1, European Parliament (Brussels)

About the Event

Across the globe, a persistent gap in access to essential health services, combined with shrinking Official Development Assistance, is placing increasing pressure on sexual and reproductive health and rights. In an evolving development finance landscape marked by rising inequalities, humanitarian crises, and competing global priorities, the sustainability of these critical services is increasingly at risk. If the European Union is to continue upholding its values and global commitments, it must step up its leadership and investment in SRHR

This event will explore the current gap of global SRHR needs and financing, examine the impact of shifting funding trends, and identify opportunities for the EU to strengthen its global values-based leadership. It will feature the presentation of EPF's new research, "Financing SRHR in a Changing World"

The discussion will bring together policymakers, experts, and advocates to exchange perspectives and advance solutions for sustainable and equitable SRHR financing
