As a tribute to World Mental Health Day, this event aims at including in the collective space the voices of people with a mental health problem, their caretakers and families.

The one-hour event will be divided in two moments. First, participants will discover Portuguese projects that deal with mental health awareness and the role of art in social inclusion. These projects have been running for more than 25 years and have played a pivotal role in the integration and recognition of people with a mental health problem.

In a second moment, participants will be invited to take part in the construction of a fanzine, creating one – or more – of its pages: writing a phrase never said in the EP, drawing something raw, cutting and pasting from brochures, newspapers or official material, but subverting the message. The closing moment will be a reflection on the experience of tearing down the stigma. Finally, the work created will be collectively assembled – a fanzine as a political gesture.
