Non-animal Testing under REACH

Advancing Non-animal Test Methods and Approaches in the EU

📅 Date:
Tuesday, 14 October 2025
🕐 Time:
12:30 – 14:00
📍 Location:
Room 4F384, Spinelli Building
European Parliament, Brussels

This hybrid event will highlight innovative non-animal testing methods and examine how the revision of the REACH regulation can help to phase out animal experiments in chemical safety assessment.

The event will bring together policymakers, including MEPs and EP political staff, attachés from EU member state permanent representations interested in animal welfare and/or animal-free science and chemical safety assessments, members from DG GROW and DG ENV, representatives of NGOs, chemical industry representatives and academia to discuss the need for action on phasing out animal testing.

This roundtable discussion on advancing non-animal test methods and approaches in the EU through corporate and political strategies is organised by Humane World for Animals.
