About the Event

This event will explore the challenges facing the agricultural sector from a crop nutrition angle, tackling issues such as environmental impact, building a more resilient supply chain, circular economy, and more. Organised by the Forum for the Future of Agriculture and Anglo American, the event aims to foster open dialogue, exchange of perspectives, and collaboration among stakeholders from EU institutions, the agricultural and industrial sectors, and international partners.

The programme will begin with introductory keynote speeches, followed by a panel discussion addressing the central question: "How can innovation in crop nutrition drive the transition to a more sustainable and resilient agri-food system?" This will be followed by an open dialogue between the audience and panellists on crop nutrition, concluding with a networking session to encourage further exchange and collaboration.

The panel will feature representatives from across the agri-food sector, including experts from DG AGRI, industry leaders, farmer representatives who will share on-the-ground perspectives on implementing crop nutrition innovations, and representatives from environmental advocacy organisations to provide an environmentally conscious viewpoint.

What to Expect: A fully interactive session with active audience participation, contributions from stakeholders across the value chain including EU policymakers, farmers, environmental experts, industry leaders, and international partners. A deep dive into how Europe's "innovation toolbox" can support green actions and decarbonise agriculture, strengthen supply resilience and reduce import dependency, boost efficiency and environmental performance of inputs, and empower sustainable productivity on the ground.
