About the Event

With over 30% of the EU population projected to be 65 or older by 2050, there is a pressing need to adapt how we design and deliver services across Europe. This event will showcase Age Friendly Ireland as a model of best practice in delivering age-friendly services and housing, while highlighting opportunities under Pillar 3 of the EU Demography Toolbox and the upcoming European Affordable Housing Plan.

Participants will explore how innovative housing solutions and community-based approaches can support active ageing and enable older citizens to live independently with dignity. The panel will discuss practical strategies for implementing age-friendly policies across European regions, ensuring that our towns and villages are prepared for demographic change.
