Launch event of the new anti-harassment campaign in Strasbourg

"United against harassment"

The European Parliament is committed to creating a working environment where all staff members are treated with respect and dignity and which is free from harassment and inappropriate behaviour.

To underline this clear commitment and to mark the start of our EP-wide campaign "United against harassment", there will be a launch event on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 at 18:45 in the exhibition area by the Flower Bar in Strasbourg.

President Roberta Metsola will open the event. Vice-President Ewa Kopacz as chair of the High-Level Group on Gender equality and diversity, Quaestor Marc Angel as chair of the Advisory Committee dealing with harassment complaints concerning Members of the European Parliament, Secretary-General Alessandro Chiocchetti and Director-General for Personnel Ellen Robson will also take the floor.

All staff members travelling to Strasbourg next week are welcome to take part in the event in person. The highlights of the speeches will be published on EP Intranet after the event.

The "United against harassment" campaign will include: a conference for all staff, lunchtime talks and presentations, training courses, as well as written and audiovisual materials.
