About Prof. James K. Galbraith
Prof. Galbraith is a renowned economist, currently serving as a Professor of Government at The University of Texas at Austin and holding the Lloyd M. Bentsen Jr. Chair in Government/Business Relations at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. His career includes notable roles such as Executive Director of the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress and Chair of Economists for Peace and Security.
Prof. Galbraith has extensive experience in macroeconomic reform, notably as Chief Technical Adviser to the State Planning Commission of China. He has received numerous awards, including the Leontief Prize and the Veblen-Commons Award. He holds academic degrees from Harvard University and Yale University and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
