European Abortion Policy Atlas 2025
On the occasion of International Safe Abortion Day
Across Europe, women continue to face obstacles to exercising their right to safe and legal abortion. Misinformation, legal restrictions, and political pushback continue to put women's health and autonomy at risk. As Members of the European Parliament, we have a responsibility to respond with facts, solidarity, and political action.
Together with Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, I warmly invite you to the launch of the European Abortion Atlas 2025. This research, done by the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF), provides comprehensive evidence on abortion access across our continent, showing where progress has been achieved, and where barriers persist.
The launch will bring together a diverse range of voices, each offering a unique perspective on the state of abortion rights in Europe. From the evidence and data presented in the research, to the lived reality of providing care in restrictive contexts, to the power of grassroots mobilisation, the discussion will provide us evidence and arguments to move forward.
