ECB - Speech by Philip Lane, Member of the Executive Board of the ECB

The European Central Bank announces a speech by Mr Philip Lane, Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank, on the Monetary Policy Agenda at the ECB.

Mr Lane will deliver the speech at the House of the Euro, Rue de la Science 37, Brussels, on 9 July 2025 at 12:45.
This speech will take a broad perspective on the monetary policy agenda at the ECB. In addition to reviewing the current monetary policy stance, it will also lay out a strategic perspective on the future challenges facing monetary policy. It will also outline how a more resilient euro area monetary and financial architecture can support the effectiveness of monetary policy: this includes making progress on savings and investment union (including a deeper and more liquid area-wide bond market) and moving forward with the digital euro project.
After the speech, the participants will have the opportunity to engage in an exchange of views with Mr Lane.
A lunch will be offered together with the registration from 12:15.
A Q&A session with the audience will follow.
