About the Event

The event is organised in collaboration with the “Modestos Pantelis” Cultural Foundation, and marks 71 years since the EOKA Liberation Struggle of 1955–1959. It is an evening of remembrance and honour dedicated to five heroes of EOKA who gave their lives for freedom: Modestos Pantelis, Andreas Karyos, Christos Samaras, Fotis Pittas and Elias Papakyriakou. The highlight of the evening will be the premiere screening of the documentary “Cyprus Is Calling… Five Souls for Freedom”, a moving tribute to these young men and to the broader struggle of the Cypriot people for liberation from British colonial rule.
