About the Event

This event will explore the critical role of biogas, biomethane, and digestate in advancing Europe's circular bioeconomy, focusing on how the upcoming CAP 2028–2034 can support this transition. With the European Commission drafting its new Bioeconomy Strategy and Circular Economy Act, and the release of the first CAP 2028–2034 proposal, there are opportunities for synergy across these policy frameworks.

Biogas systems provide key circular resources—renewable energy, organic fertiliser, and industrial feedstock—and help farmers diversify income, increase self-sufficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance soil health.

The event will bring together Members of the European Parliament, European Commission representatives, national attachés, and key European stakeholders for a constructive dialogue on shaping policies that accelerate the circular bioeconomy on farms.
